YULETIDE is an RPG inspired by the holiday season!

Instead of fighting, give monsters gifts to pacify them and make them your friends!

Legends speak of a land far to the north, uncharted by any map. A realm of ice and snow untouched by the hands of man. Folklore depicts the land in many lights, some speak of it as a haven of evil, others a miraculous paradise. Few really know its true nature, as those who travel there are never heard from again.

Undaunted by such prospects and with nothing else to lose, a vagrant child takes one final journey to the ends of the world.

Features:

  • An adventure spanning up to 2 hours.
  • A simple battle system that requires players to suss out what a monster desires and giving them a gift fitting that desire.
  • A game world themed after winter holidays.
  • A heaping load of awful, corny jokes and random references.
  • A couple of the easiest puzzles known to man.
  • Inspired by games like Earthbound and Undertale. (does this count as a feature?)
  • Evil ugly Christmas sweaters!
  • Eggnog!

This game is by far my favorite Christmas-themed game I've ever experienced! The writing is absolutely phenomenal and super engaging, the simple visual effects and immersive audio effects and music were spot on, and the design, being inspired by Earthbound and Undertale, was quite near flawless!

Now here is the part of the comment where I normally give one suggestion for the game, but in all honesty, I can't think of anything I would change!

Fantastically fun little game! Well done!

(This video is only Part 1, so feel free to let me know if you'd like me to post the further parts as replies to this comment or how exactly you would like me to go about that!)

Thanks so much for the comment! I'm happy you feel that way about YULETIDE! It's got a special place in my heart, and even though it's still in an incomplete state, I'm always happy to hear people talk about it!

As for your question, feel free to comment however you'd like. It's not like anybody else is using this space haha.
